The Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline and the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible for the April 5, 2014 homicide of Alonzo “Zoe” Thomas IV at 7117 Wayne.
Mr. Thomas was shot and killed after responding outside the location after receiving a phone call. Shots were heard while Mr. Thomas was outside. He returned to the address, knocked on the door and collapsed in the doorway.
Monique Willis, mother of the victim, has added an additional $2,000.00 to the existing Crime Stoppers reward bringing the total up to a possible $4,000.00 for information received through the TIPS Hotline leading to an arrest. Ms. Willis can be reached at 816-695-9595 for comment.

The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department and Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible for the June 30, 2013 homicide of Dave Ruth in the 4700 block of North Bennington.
Mr. Ruth died of a fatal gunshot wound sustained in an apparent residential burglary. Firearms, the victim’s pick-up truck and other valuables were also taken during the course of the homicide. The current reward stands at up to $3,000.00 for anonymous information, submitted through the Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline, which leads to an arrest in the case.
On August 02, 2012, the Gladstone Police Department was notified of the disappearance of Nancy J. Bowman, 52 years of age, from the Mountain View Apartment Complex. Preliminary reports indicated Bowman was last seen on July 31, 2012, in the early evening hours and was walking to Gladstone Fire Station #1 located at 6118 North Oak; however, she never made it to that location.
On August 08, 2012, the body of Nancy Bowman was located in a heavily wooded area near the apartment complex. An autopsy was conducted on Bowman which revealed she had been stabbed and her manner of death was ruled as a homicide. The case is currently being investigated by the Gladstone, Missouri Police Department.

for the July 17, 2012 homicide of Mr. Pettiford at 8621 E 31st
Street.
Officers were dispatched to the location in
regard to a disturbance and found Mr. Pettiford shot inside the residence. Mr. Pettiford was transported to a local
hospital where he died from the injuries.
Witnesses at the scene stated 3 males were seen fleeing the scene and it
is believed the homicide was the result of a robbery gone bad.

SUBJECT: 5 Year Anniversary - Homicide of DeJaun Gordon
KANSAS CITY, MO --- The Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline and the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible for the homicide of DeJaun O. Gordon at 2012 Montgall on March 30, 2012. Today marks the 5 year anniversary of this unsolved case.
Officers were dispatched to the location on a shooting and arrived to find Mr. Gordon lying on the side walk shot several times. Suspect information is reported to be “unknown black males.” Mr. Gordon’s death was the 29th homicide of 2012.
Michelle Gordon, DeJaun’s mother, has contributed an additional $500.00 dollars to the reward fund bringing the total up to a possible $2,500.00 for information leading to an arrest or the filing of felony charges. Ms. Gordon can be reached at 816-423-1998 for media interviews.

The Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline and the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the person(s) responsible for the December 16, 2011 homicide of Mark E. Turley at 3810 E. Truman Road.
Officers were dispatched to 3812 E. Truman Road on a shooting. Officers were directed to 3810 E. Truman upon arrival and discovered the victim lying on the floor of the business having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
A witness stated the victim had just closed the business for the evening when an unknown person knocked on the door. Mr. Turley went to the door and opened it at which point the unknown person was heard demanding money and several shots rang out. No description of the unknown person was provided.
The Truman Road Community Improvement District has contributed an additional $4,000.00 to the reward fund in the case bringing the total reward up to a possible $5,000.00 for information leading to an arrest in the case.
On 7/10/2011 officers responded to the area of 38th and Wayne regarding a shots fired call. A white Cadillac was discovered against a fence by officers conducting an area canvass near 38th and Flora where the victim, Jerry C. Johnson, was discovered deceased from gunshot wounds.
The homicide was the 53rd homicide of 2011 and remains unsolved.
The Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline and Kansas City, Kansas Police Department are requesting information regarding the July 2, 2011 homicide of Frank Delano Locklear at 800 Miami in Kansas City, Kansas. Mr. Locklear was burned over 97% of his body apparently as a result of a confrontation involving two suspects and died later that evening.
A supplemental reward contribution has been made by the sisters of the victim, Mrs. Debbie Cain and Mrs. Therese Kohlmeyer, in the amount of $500.00 bringing the total possible reward up to $1,500.00 for information leading to an arrest and/or charges in the case.

The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department and Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline continue to request information from the community in regard to the July 6, 2010 homicide of Exiquio Martinez. Mr. Martinez was shot at 25th and Myrtle in Kansas City, Missouri more than one year ago and later died at an area hospital. TIPS have been received to the 816-474-TIPS Hotline in regard to the case however additional information is needed.
A second victim was discovered by police and was able to provide some information about the crime. Both victims were standing near Mr. Martinez’s truck when three black males approached them from the west. One of the black males produced a handgun and pointed it at Mr. Martinez’s stomach. The second victim grabbed the gun and several shots were fired. Mr. Martinez attempted to run across the street and was shot by one of the other black males. All three suspects then ran west bound on 25th Street fleeing the scene.
A recent additional contribution of $1,500.00 from the family and friends of Mr. Martinez has been received bringing the current possible reward amount to $6,000.00.
